Rachel Arndt the Curator of Wangaratta Art Gallery brought us up to date on the Wangaratta's gallery recent activities.
Rachel is the Director of Wangaratta Art Gallery and has been in that role since 2023. Rachel has over twenty years of experience in the visual arts in Australia and internationally, including four years in the UK.
Rachel supplied us with examples of work that the Wangaratta Gallery encourages. This was mostly works in miniature and Rachel filled us in on local artistic endeavour. .
The Gallery does not have a large collection of paintings but it has had the good fortune to have an early Nolan Painting recently donated to it. This is quite a spectacular painting and is quite valuable. Benalla envies its good fortune.

At our next session, printmaker Joan Mullarvey will talk about her work and the many approaches she has explored. Joan will share information about her artistic journey, including her influences, processes and what excites her about making prints.
