Research via ChapGPT Bev had sourced 2024, offered twenty-two common features of memoir writing’. From ‘personal catharsis’ and ‘self-reflection’ to ‘recording change’ and ‘preserving culture’ provided insights as to why we are inspired to ‘do what we do’.
Jenny’s ‘treasure’ was her dad’s backyard shed. Brimming with reclaimed bed frames and blue pavers which now creatively form the contours of a delightful garden.
Barry’s ‘treasure’ was in the form of a photo of himself and his ‘Uncle Pat’. It accessed memories of his first solo and successful fishing trip at the age of five.
