19 members of the group enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Pavlos Greek Restaurant in September.

Our last Chat 'n Chew for the year will be held at the North Eastern Hotel on Friday, October 9th. Bookings are essential. Please ring Dorothy on 0412 263 071 by Tuesday, October 6th.

An enjoyable lunch at the Royal in August - coming up 'Pavlos'!

An enjoyable and friendly lunch was held at the Royal Hotel in August. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to get together, enjoy a good meal and have a relaxed chatty time with friends.

June - 'An enjoyable meal accompanied by country music'

The Country Music Festival was in full swing when we visited the Benalla Bowling Club for lunch on Friday 13th June!

A very enjoyable lunch was held on July 11 at the Farmers Arms, by the open fire.

On August 8, we are lunching at Pavlos, a Greek restaurant at 52 Nunn St (the old Farmer’s Basket).

Shared platters will be served — $28 a head, or $33 a head with dessert. BYO drinks.

This will be a different experience — I hope everyone is up for something new!

The sad passing this month of our convenor, Lorraine Knox

Members of Chat n Chew have been deeply saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine Knox, our convenor for the past five years. Just a few days before her passing we had shared a delightful Chat n Chew lunch with Lorraine at the Benalla Golf Club. We will miss her very much and send our condolences to her family.

As Lorraine's 'back up' convenor for the past year, I am taking over as convenor of Chat n Chew. I've made the arrangements for our next lunch, which will be at Zeus Cafe, meeting at 11.45 for 12 o'clock start.

Lorraine handed 'the book' over to me at the end of our lunch at the Golf Club, so I have the names of those who listed to come to our June session. To make a telephone booking for the Lunch on Friday 13th at Zeus (or let me know of a change of plan), please text or call me on 0412263071.

Lorraine is feeling much better, has returned home and is so happy to have all of her things around her!
