August's Easy Bushwalk was a great success, with 12 members meeting in Glenrowan for a stroll around the township, finding answers to a list of 50 questions on the town landmarks, plus its extensive Ned Kelly history.
Armed with maps, groups of two set off to face the challenge. After 30 questions, we broke for morning coffèe and yummy scones at King Valley Popcorn.

The remaining 20 questions were completed in time for lunch at the Park, followed by the correction session, with the obligatory good-natured challenges to official answers.
Thanks to all the participants for making the day a success. It was a lot of fun and the weather was ideal for the day’s stroll.

Coming up on Wednesday 3 September - Reef Hills Early Spring Walk
A lovely 7-8km walk along a mixture of bush tracks and gravel roads in nearby Reef Hills Park, to spot wildlife and discover evidence of early mining activities. Hopefully, there will also be flowering Wattles and some Wildflowers to photograph.
Destination: Reef Hills Picnic Ground shelter, approx. 1km from the main entrance off Midland Hwy. Bring lunch and afternoon tea.
*Meet at U3A Carpark at 9.15am for a 9.30am departure. ($5 travel cost).
