Our Easy Bushwalk on Wednesday 2 September had to be changed to two Winton Wetlands walks.
Thirteen walkers in clean cars drove along dusty Boggy Bridge Road to Greens Hill. We followed the main 2.6km circuit track around the Hill and then continued up the Spit to the other hill, which afforded scenic views over Lake Winton, now brimming with water and Waterbirds

We then followed the track to the historic Greens Homestead site, with several information signs outlining the Greens history or pointing to remnants of the farm’s infrastructure, now half hidden in the flourishing Pattersons Curse.
After a break at Greens Hill car park, a decision was made to head for the Duck Pond. A short bush walk around the Pond perimeter, taking more photos, completed the morning's excursion and we headed back to the Winton Cafe for a welcome lunch.

Luckily, the BOM "12pm" showers didn't eventuate and the weather was perfect for our Easy Bushwalk.
