On Thursday 30 April, recently retired U3A Benalla President Margaret Jenkins presented '30 Years On and Still Growing' as part of the National Trust History Festival in Benalla.
"U3A Benalla has grown energetically over 30 years of serving the local community. What began with just a few courses now offers around 48, reflecting the curiosity and enthusiasm of its members. Early classes were held in private homes before moving to old school buildings. Today U3A operates from its current premises in Benalla. From geology in the early days to today’s wide mix—from Mah-jong and wine appreciation to exploring the universe—volunteer convenors share their knowledge and passion."
