Patchwork for Beginners joining 'Patchwork' from August ....

The Patchwork for Beginners group met twice monthly in Semester 1, with Heather Sloan leading her beginning learners to develop skills and confidence in creating a simple patchworked item of their choice.

Unfortunately ill health meant Heather has been unable to continue to work with the group in Term 3.  Patchwork for Beginners members have been invited to join the regular group which meets on the first and third Thursdays from 1 to 4pm and all day on the 5th Thursday, with additional workshop days periodically during the year.

Heather's wonderful capacity as a teacher to understand the learning needs of individual learners and to continue to keep them engaged with the possibilities of patchwork and quilting  was treasured  by members of the class..

Heather, thank you so much for offering this course this year - it met a long felt need for a beginning skills course and your capacity to teach and engage the beginning patchwork learners was highly valued and will be missed.  We wish you well in your recovery and hope that you are able to join Benalla's U3A Patchwork group again soon.

For more information about the regular Patchwork group, please contact Dorothy Webber on 5762 2116 or 0412263071.
