There has been small attendance to this event with four players. Many of those who registered have not attended or have been unable to attend for many reasons.

Those that play enjoy a good social connection and an easy walk in a nice park.
As the convenor, I will be absent for the next two events due to travel to warmer climates!

​The monthly social golf group met on Monday 27 April at the Benalla Golf Club at 2pm.

There were six attendees and we completed 9 holes.  We all enjoyed the walk around the course and the social connection after the game.

It is a very relaxed afternoon and there is no pressure on anyone to prove they are budding professionals!!

I look forward to the other people who have enrolled joining the rest of us as we explore golf and enjoy the company of others. 

Other members are also welcome to join us for a friendly hit and giggle.

The monthly social golf group was held at Benalla Golf Club on Monday 23 March at 2.00 pm There were four attendees on the day, and we completed 9 holes comfortably.  We played off the Ladies tees and benefited from the walk and experience.

The golfing round was enjoyed by the participants, as were the social refreshments at the Benalla Golf Club afterwards.

Unfortunately, there were a few cancellations and no shows, but I look forward to seeing all those who enrolled attending future social golf games.

For those who need a brush up for their golfing skills, I understand that there are “get into golf programs”; you can also contact the Golf Pro at Benalla, Wayne Hocking and he can arrange lessons.

The Social Golf Group has 13 participants registered.

Our first day was Monday 23 February at the Benalla Golf Club. Seven members arrived ready for a game and to enjoy a walk in a nicely manicured park.

Six people played the nine holes. The weather was warm and humid, which most of us certainly felt, reminding us to always take plenty of water and take it easy.

The experience was enjoyed by all participants, and the social drink afterwards was most welcome, as it gave us the opportunity to get to know members better. Over time, we will all continue to enjoy the experience and the social gatherings, and hopefully improve our game!

The option of undertaking lessons can be arranged with the golf professional at any time by calling the pro shop and setting up lessons to learn or improve your game.

There has been an update to the cost: it is now $20 for a nine-hole game.

We look forward to enjoying the company of all members at the next round on 23 March (the fourth Monday) at 2.00 pm for a hit-off.
